What can a professional organizer do for me?
Sometimes people are overwhelmed and can not get started or complete an organizing project on their own. A professional organizer can be that extra helping hand and motivator that gets the job done. Also in many cases, people do not know what to do to get organized and a professional organizer can offer ideas and implement solutions for most any inefficiency that a client experiences.
How does this work?
The process begins with an initial assessment, usually lasting 60 to 90 minutes. The initial assessment is an opportunity for us to formulate a tailored plan to suit your particular organizing and budget needs. You can show us the areas you would like to concentrate on and we will set out an outlined plan and an approximate amount of time needed to complete the projects. The initial assessment is $50, payable at the time of the assessment. From there you can decide whether you want to proceed with the assistance of Professional Reliable Organizing or on your own.
Do I have to get rid of all my stuff?
No, you do not have to get rid of everything. We ask a lot of questions and offer suggestions when you are uncertain that ultimately help clients in making decisions on what to keep. The client is always the final decision maker, we feel that this is extremely important for clients to have a good organizing experience.
I would like to donate some items, can a professional organizer help me with that?
Yes, we can suggest organizations that will take most items and some that even pickup. We can also help you keep track of items donated as we work for tax deductions the following year.
I don't feel comfortable showing someone my problem areas, but I know I need to do something. Help!
Please be assured that we will not be judging you. The initial assessment is an excellent opportunity to see if you are comfortable with the PRO approach. A suggestion would be to start in an area that is not uncomfortable to you and see how you feel when the job is completed and if you would like to continue with other projects. Please don't clean or organize before the initial visit, it is important to see what ISN'T working in your environment so an appropriate solution can be developed.
Will I need to be present for the sessions?
Yes, we prefer to work one-on-one with clients. Client input is needed in the beginning on what is important to keep or highlight and as the process continues we gather valuable information on your work style that will help to create a system that works efficiently and stands the test of time.
How long does a room take?
This is dependent upon the type of room and the client's needs and work style. Home offices may take longer due to the nature of paperwork and large rooms will take more time than smaller rooms. Clients can vary widely on the pace of which they want to work. We can also assign smaller projects if the client wants to pursue the project on their own between organizing sessions.
How much does it cost?
If you choose to proceed with your organizing project with the help of Professional Reliable Organizing, you can choose to work on a per hour fee or you also have the choice to pre-purchase hour packages (10, 25, 40 hour packages). The more hours purchased the larger the discount with the packages. Please call for current hourly fees.
